Terms and Condition

(Notice: Please be advised that all perishable goods, classified documents, breakable items, valuable items such as money, jewelries, watches, etc. are prohibited and shipping such items shall be at your own risk. Jazeerah Alkhaleej Int’l Shipping Company shall not be responsible in case of damages to and/or its valuable contents. These terms and conditions supersede those in previous house way bill (HAWB) versions.)

1. The customer declares that he/she has personally packed this cargo and certifies that it does not contain any liquids, automotive parts and dangerous, prohibited, flammable items or undeclared taxable good in commercial quantities. The customer undertakes full responsibility for duties, taxes, penalties and charges arising from any wrong declaration, willful shipment of dangerous, prohibited, flammable and taxable items, and for any delay in shipment clearance because of those. The customer understands his/her consignment may only be released after settlement of such imposed duties, taxes, penalties and charges, and that all shipments may also be subject to customs charges.

2. By giving Jazeerah Alkhaleej Int’l Shipping Company (JAK) this shipment, the customer hereby appoints JAK as his/her agent and certifies JAK as the nominal consignee. In some instances, local authorities may require additional documents and confirmations. The customer shall be responsible to comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, including but not limited to customs regulations and import, export and re-export laws of any country to, from through or over which his/her shipment may be carried. If required, the customer agrees to furnish such information and requirements to comply with the same. JAK shall assume no liability for any losses or expense due to the customer’s failure to comply with provision.

3. JAK shall also not be liable for any damages, delay, shortages or losses due to uncontrollable events including but not limited to natural calamities, civil war, commotion or acts of omission or confiscations or during examinations/inspections by customs and government authorities. The insurance coverage shall be governed by all the terms and conditions contained in the policy including below provisions:

4.1 For JAK crated packages, full insurance coverage for valid and approved claims.

4.2 For uncrated cargo, our liability for valid and approved claims shall be based on the following:

4.3 Exempted from insurance coverage are appliance models which are obsolete and not available anymore from the market, whether crated or not. For other coverage exemptions, refer to section 3 and the CRATING section at the bottom.

4.4 All other terms and conditions shall be under standard JAK company policies.

4.5 Shipping costs are already included in the insurance coverage.

5. Complaints for losses or damages must be reported to the nearest JAK office or customer service hotline (+966 56 005 7100) within twenty-four (24) hours from delivery. No complaints for losses or damages shall be entertained beyond this time limit.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS

6. Cargo belonging to a HAWB with an unpaid balance shall be released after the outstanding amount and applicable storage charges, if any, are paid in full.

7. If the cargo for whatever reason, remains undelivered or not picked-up, due to the fault of the customer and/or the consignee/s in the Philippines, storage fee will be charged after two (2) weeks from the cargo’s arrival at JAK’s Philippine agent’s warehouse, the Philippine agent shall have the full legal right to dispose of and/or donate to charity the said HAWB’s cargo and shall be absolved of any liability.

8. If the HAWB has been paid in full and yet, for whatever reason, remains undelivered due to the fault of the customer and/or the consignee/s in the Philippines, JAK’s Philippine agent shall, after four (4) months from the cargo’s arrival at Philippine agent’s warehouse, have the full legal right to dispose and/or donate to charity the said HAWB’s cargo and shall be absolved of and any liability. 

CRATING

For customer crated cargo, JAK’s Philippine agent shall not be responsible in case of damages to and/or its valuable contents. Only JAK crated cargo shall be covered by insurance.
